The American Red Cross Oregon Trail Chapter will join Friends of Mt. Tabor and over 100 partners and staff from PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Portland office to provide education and hands on community service to help beautify Mt. Tabor Park, an established landmark in SE Portland.
Continuing its mission to build and sustain strong community partnerships, the Oregon Trail Chapter will bring awareness of Red Cross services to our community partner’s as well as the surrounding community.
Red Cross Youth Council volunteers will hand out safety information via door hangers increasing the visibility of the youth volunteer program as well as provide the community surrounding Mt. Tabor Park with emergency preparedness information.
About the Oregon Trail Chapter
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Local Red Cross volunteers respond to residential fires and other disasters an average of every 40 hours. All Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from Oregonians.
