Summoned by Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue at approximately 8:00 p.m. , Red Cross Disaster Action Team volunteers were at the site within the hour to assist over 70 residents displaced by the fire.
A total of 24 units were affected by the fire, and four apartments were destroyed. The Oregon Trail Chapter provided three families with lodging through Monday night and financial assistance for food and replacement clothing. The Oregon Trail Chapter Canteen Action Team provided firefighters and response personnel with food and drinks.
Also helping on the scene were Health Services and Disaster Mental Health volunteers, and a translator for Spanish speaking families. Red Cross client services caseworkers will continue to provide assistance to the afflicted families in the days ahead and provide additional aid as needed.
