Just before 11:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, four individuals were forced to evacuate when a fire broke out on a front porch on NE Going. Portland Fire and Rescue crews arrived on the scene and had the fire under control within minutes.
At 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, Red Cross volunteers were called again to help three individuals after fire damaged apartment units in Lake Oswego.
On Monday May 30 in the early evening, volunteers mobilized to Clackamas to help 12 adults who were displaced by fire. Clackamas County Fire District No. 1, Portland Fire and Rescue, and Gladstone and Boring fire departments all responded to the two-alarm apartment fire on SE 97th Avenue. The fire was reported by a tenant who said her kitchen was on fire. When firefighters arrived minutes after receiving the call they found the large three story apartment complex with heavy smoke and fire showing from several units.
